Hydrocortisone Acetate Cream BP 15g is a mild corticosteroid cream used to treat a variety of inflammatory skin conditions. It helps to relieve itching, redness, swelling, and irritation caused by allergic reactions, eczema, dermatitis, insect bites, and rashes. Formulated according to the British Pharmacopoeia (BP) standards, this cream contains Hydrocortisone Acetate, a low-potency steroid, making it suitable for short-term use on sensitive skin areas.

 

Active Ingredient:

• Hydrocortisone Acetate BP – typically 1% w/w

Mechanism of Action:

Hydrocortisone is a glucocorticoid steroid that works by:

• Reducing inflammation and immune responses in the skin

• Suppressing the formation of pro-inflammatory substances

• Alleviating symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and discomfort

 

Directions for Use:

1. Clean and dry the affected area.

2. Apply a thin layer of the cream to the area 1–2 times daily, or as directed.

3. Gently rub in until absorbed.

4. Wash hands after application (unless treating hands).

5. Do not cover with bandages unless advised by a doctor.
