Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid Injection (commonly known by brand names like Augmentin) is a powerful, broad-spectrum antibiotic combination used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. The 1.2g formulation typically contains 1g of amoxicillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic) and 200mg of clavulanic acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor).

How It Works:

• Amoxicillin attacks and destroys bacteria by inhibiting the formation of their cell walls.

• Clavulanic Acid prevents certain bacteria from breaking down amoxicillin, thereby expanding the drug’s effectiveness against resistant strains.
