Fluconazole 150 mg Capsule is a broad-spectrum antifungal medication used to treat and prevent various fungal and yeast infections. It belongs to the triazole class of antifungals and works by inhibiting the growth of fungi by blocking the production of a vital component in their cell membranes.

This single-dose capsule is particularly effective in treating vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection), as well as certain skin, oral, and systemic fungal infections.

Composition:

• Each capsule contains: Fluconazole 150 mg

 

Dosage & Administration:

• Vaginal Candidiasis: 1 capsule (150 mg) as a single oral dose

• Other infections may require prolonged treatment and different dosing – follow healthcare provider’s instructions

• Can be taken with or without food

 

Precautions:

• Not recommended for self-medication in complicated or recurrent infections

• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease

• May interact with other medications – inform your doctor of all current medications

• Not recommended during pregnancy unless prescribed by a doctor

• Breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare provider before use
