Artemether + Lumefantrine Suspension is a highly effective artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT) used in the treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, including strains resistant to other antimalarials. This pediatric-friendly suspension is designed to deliver powerful malaria treatment in a form that is easy for children to take.

Active Ingredients (per 5 ml):

• Artemether – 15 mg

• Lumefantrine – 90 mg
  (Total content in 60 ml: Artemether 180 mg + Lumefantrine 1080 mg)

 

Dosage & Administration:

• Dosage is weight-based and should be prescribed by a healthcare professional

• Usually administered over 3 days (6 doses):

  • Initial dose,

  • Second dose after 8 hours,

  • Then one dose twice daily for 2 more days

• Shake well before use

• Administer with food or milk to improve absorption of Lumefantrine

 

Precautions:

• Not recommended for children under 5 kg or infants younger than 2 months

• Use with caution in patients with liver, kidney, or heart conditions

• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early
