Indications:
Doreta is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of moderate to severe pain in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, especially when a combination of tramadol and paracetamol is deemed appropriate by a healthcare provider.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults and Adolescents (12 years and older):The recommended initial dose is two tablets taken orally. Additional doses may be taken as needed, ensuring that the total daily dose does not exceed eight tablets (equivalent to 300 mg tramadol and 2600 mg paracetamol). The dosing interval should be no less than six hours.
Important Considerations:
Duration of Use:Doreta should be used at the lowest effective dose and for the shortest duration necessary to manage pain.
Concomitant Use with Sedatives:Using Doreta alongside sedative medications, such as benzodiazepines, can lead to serious risks including sedation, respiratory depression, coma, and even death. If co-prescription is necessary, the lowest effective dose and shortest treatment duration should be considered, with close monitoring for signs of respiratory depression and sedation.
Tolerance and Dependence:Regular use of tramadol can lead to tolerance, physical, and psychological dependence. It’s essential to discuss treatment goals and establish a discontinuation plan with your healthcare provider before starting therapy.
Contraindications:
Doreta should not be used by individuals who are allergic to tramadol, paracetamol, or any of the tablet’s components.It is also contraindicated in patients with acute alcohol intoxication, those using monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have used them within the last 14 days, severe liver dysfunction, or uncontrolled epilepsy.
