Clotrimazole Vaginal Inserts USP are antifungal medications specially formulated to treat vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis). Clotrimazole works by stopping the growth of Candida, the fungus responsible for most vaginal yeast infections, helping to relieve symptoms like itching, irritation, and abnormal discharge.

 

Uses:

• Treatment of vaginal yeast infections (vulvovaginal candidiasis)

• Relief from vaginal itching, burning, and irritation caused by fungal overgrowth

• Helps restore normal vaginal flora

 

How to Use:

• Insert one vaginal tablet deeply into the vagina, usually at bedtime, using the applicator provided or as directed by your doctor.

• Wash your hands before and after application.

• Complete the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve early.

 

Precautions:

• For vaginal use only; not to be taken by mouth.

• Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment, as the infection could spread and the medication can weaken latex-based condoms or diaphragms.
