Lubricant Eye Drops for Dry, Irritated Eyes

Tearlant Eye Drops 0.5% w/w is a sterile, lubricating ophthalmic solution formulated to relieve symptoms of dry eyes, ocular irritation, and discomfort caused by reduced tear production or environmental stress. It acts as an artificial tear substitute, mimicking the natural moisture in the eyes and offering long-lasting comfort.

Composition (Per 1g):

• Hypromellose (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose): 0.5% w/w

• Preservative: Benzalkonium chloride (or preservative-free, depending on formulation)

• Base: Sterile isotonic aqueous solution

 

Dosage & Administration:

• Instill 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) 3–4 times daily, or as directed by a healthcare provider

• Can be used as needed for symptom relief

• Shake well before use (if applicable)

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to avoid contamination

 

Precautions:

• For external ophthalmic use only

• Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before reinsertion

• If irritation persists or worsens, discontinue use and consult an eye care professional

• Avoid use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy

• Use within 30 days of opening

 

Possible Side Effects (rare and mild):

• Temporary blurred vision

• Mild burning or stinging sensation upon application

• Eye redness or irritation (rare)

 

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place, ideally between 15–25°C

• Do not freeze

• Keep out of reach of children

• Ensure cap is tightly closed after each use
