Zinc tablets (10 mg) are dietary supplements that provide the body with an essential trace mineral—Zinc—which plays a key role in numerous physiological functions. Zinc supports immune health, promotes wound healing, and is vital for growth and development, especially in children.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

• Zinc (as Zinc Sulfate / Zinc Gluconate / Zinc Acetate) – 10 mg elemental Zinc

 

Pediatric Use:

Zinc 10 mg is often recommended as part of treatment for:

• Acute diarrhea (alongside oral rehydration salts)

• Zinc deficiency due to poor diet or malabsorption

• Growth faltering or recurrent infections

WHO & UNICEF recommend Zinc 10 mg daily for 10–14 days for children under 6 months with diarrhea.

Recommended Dosage (General Guide):

• Children under 6 months: 10 mg once daily for 10–14 days

• Older children and adults (for supplementation): As advised by healthcare provider

Precautions:

• Do not exceed recommended dosage

• High doses may cause nausea, abdominal cramps, or reduced copper absorption

• Take with food to minimize stomach upset

• Keep out of reach of children

 

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C

• Protect from moisture and light

• Keep in original container
