Simple Linctus is a traditional, soothing cough syrup used for the relief of dry, irritating, or tickly coughs. It does not contain any active ingredients like antihistamines, decongestants, or strong cough suppressants, making it a gentle and non-drowsy option, suitable for adults and children.

How It Works:

Simple Linctus works as a demulcent, which means it forms a soothing film over the mucous membranes of the throat, reducing irritation and the reflex to cough. It is ideal for dry, non-productive coughs where mucus is not present.

Dosage:

Adults and children over 12 years:

• 5 to 10 ml up to 4 times a day, or as directed

Children under 12 years:

• Use only if advised by a healthcare provider (some versions are for adult use only)

 

Precautions:

• Not suitable for diabetics unless labeled sugar-free

• Not recommended for persistent cough, chronic cough due to smoking, asthma, or other underlying lung conditions without medical supervision

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use
