Ointment BP 2% – 15gm

Ointment BP 2% is a topical preparation formulated in accordance with the standards of the British Pharmacopoeia (BP). It contains 2% w/w of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), meaning each gram of ointment contains 20 mg of the active ingredient. The tube contains 15 grams of the formulation, suitable for short-term or localized treatments.

How to Use:

1. Clean and dry the affected area.

2. Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the area, 1–3 times daily or as prescribed.

3. Do not apply over large areas unless directed by a healthcare provider.

4. Wash hands thoroughly after application unless hands are being treated.

 

Precautions:

• For external use only – do not ingest or apply near eyes/mouth.

• Not to be used on broken, oozing, or infected skin unless indicated.

• Avoid prolonged use, especially with corticosteroid-based ointments.

• Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if you experience allergic reactions, rash, or worsening symptoms.

• Mild burning or stinging at the application site

• Skin irritation or dryness
