Paracetamol Syrup is a widely used analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) formulated for infants and children. It is effective for relieving mild to moderate pain and fever caused by teething, colds, flu, sore throats, and other common illnesses.

This syrup is specially flavored to make it palatable and easy for children to take.

Active Ingredient (per 5 ml):

• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) – typically 120 mg or 250 mg (depending on formulation)

 

Dosage & Administration:

Dosage is usually based on the child’s age and weight. Always use a measuring cup or oral syringe.

• Babies (3–12 months): 2.5 – 5 ml every 4–6 hours

• Children (1–5 years): 5 – 10 ml every 4–6 hours

• Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours

• Do not use for more than 3 days without medical advice

Always read the label and follow the doctor’s instructions for correct dosing.

Precautions:

• Do not exceed the recommended dose

• Avoid giving with other products containing Paracetamol

• Consult a doctor if fever or pain persists beyond 3 days

• Not suitable for infants under 2 months unless prescribed

• Use with caution in children with liver disease

 

Possible Side Effects:

• Paracetamol is generally well-tolerated

• Rare: Allergic skin reactions, rash, or liver damage in overdose

• Seek medical help immediately in case of overdose (even if the child seems well)
