On Saturday, 1st November 2025, history will be made in Sapeiman-Macedonia, Wachild Estate Accra, Ghana with the Grand Opening & Dedication of the Ghanaian-German Specialist Hospital (GGSH). This event marks the culmination of a journey that began in 2011, when Dr. Samuel Okae, a distinguished Trauma and Orthopedic Surgeon, laid the first foundation stones with a vision: to build a world-class, affordable, and accessible specialist hospital in Ghana.
The hospital stands today as a multispecialty healthcare facility equipped with advanced technology, highly skilled doctors and nurses from Ghana and Europe, and a compassionate mission to ensure that healthcare in Ghana is not a privilege for the few, but a right for all.
Our Story of Perseverance
For over a decade, the journey of GGSH was defined by resilience. From construction delays to funding challenges, and even the global pandemic, every obstacle was met with perseverance, faith, and the unwavering belief that Ghanaians deserve better access to quality healthcare.
In 2024, that vision opened its doors as the Ghanaian-German Specialist Hospital, a 130-bed facility operating 24/7 with inpatient and outpatient services. Today, GGSH is already serving communities across pediatrics, trauma, maternity, diagnostics, surgery, and more—delivering hope to families and saving lives across Ghana
